Can I use my watch when hammering?

Mechanical movements or Automatic movements of any brands are particularly sensitive to strong swings such as using a hammer, tennis, and such.

Such strong swing movements will cause the hairspring to go haywire.

Short impacts at an extreme velocity will damage a watch movement.. For example, playing drums with a watch is like hitting hit with a hammer.

Automatic movements are made only to absorb occasional shocks, not lots of it in a minute or 2.

It is not recommend to wear an automatic watch while hammering, drumming, playing tennis, golf or boxing, or any strong hand movements sports such as swimming freestyle.

At this moment, only G-shock can handle such movements.
